The management of the park and the balance of inclusiveness where stakeholders meet 3 times a year to discuss the parks management are to be applauded. The respect to the parks links with New Zealand through maintaining a NZ border and even expanding it shows considerate management with respect to its past. The new tennis border is well thought out, brings a lovely splash of colour and is considerate to wildlife and sustainability. Information such as plant of the month and other interpretation is good.

I was pleased to see that comments from last years judges such as a bug hotel and developing a wildlife area have been implemented. Consideration could be given to a wildlife friendly pond? Thoughtfulness as to what is required in maintaining and improving the garden is evident such as the number of hot foam treatments to the paths enough to maintain relatively weed free paths.
